May is Vision Health Month, and our focus this year will be on encouraging people to visit a doctor of optometry for urgent care issues. Doctors of Optometry Canada (DOC) has a robust campaign planned for May, including matte stories to be distributed to News Canada and articles which will appear in Today’s Parent and Chatelaine. These articles will use real patient stories to demonstrate the role that optometrists play as a first line of defense to treat eye problems as soon as they arise.
BC Doctors of Optometry is launching a 30-second radio ad buy across 20 radio stations in 5 primary markets throughout Vision Health Month in May. The goal of this radio ad is to raise awareness of Doctors of Optometry’s expanded scope of practice and promote the importance of having a pre-existing relationship with your optometrist – both as a preventive measure, and to ensure more personalized, continuous care if you experience an urgent eye care issue.Read more »
